About Cindy

Cindy's PhotoCindy Weiner grew up in Rochester, NY. After attending Garland Junior College and Rochester Institute of Technology, Cindy took a career path in retail sporting goods. After 8 years of retail management and lots of crazy hours, Cindy discovered Radio sales. Starting as an Account Executive, Schloss was quickly promoted to Sales Manager and eventually General Manager at the ripe old age of 28. In 1987, Schloss left Rochester for Albuquerque where Cindy became the GM of a two station cluster.

In 1995, Weiner was transferred to Las Vegas where she coordinated a start up cluster of 5 stations and became Market Manager. In 2000, Clear Channel recruited her to manage their Albuquerque cluster. In 2004, Entercom Radio recruited Weiner to manage the Kansas City cluster. Cindy now considers KC to be her home. At the end of 2006, Weiner left Entercom and joined Broadcast Marketing Group as General Manager and partner. Broadcast Marketing Group specializes in buying media exclusively for Radio stations across the country and is headquartered in KC.

Cindy has recently added Career Coaching to her resume and started her first business venture. Centric Coaching will be a complement to her position with BMG and Cindy’s coaching time will be during non-traditional business hours, when her clients are available. Her USP is to help executives work smarter, play harder and sleep sounder. Cindy has been named one of Radio’s Most Influential Women in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and again in 2006. While in Albuquerque, Cindy was named General Manager of The Year by Clear Channel Radio and Market Manager of the Year by The Radio Advertising Bureau.

Ms. Weiner has been active with the American Red Cross, United Way and the National Kidney Foundation. Schloss is currently serving on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City; She chairs the Marketing Committee and is on the Board for The Women’s Employment Network. She’s also an advisory board member for Flourish Magazine, a KC Women’s Business Publication.

Her definition of success is taken from a poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson… “To earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others”, and she truly lives by those words.
