Would a little confidence take you where you want to go?

Confidence is sneaky because it acts like it’s not there but you may have more than you know.  Think back to a time when your confidence was strong and solid.  What were you doing then and how is that time in your life, different from today?   Put yourself back in that place as you start the journey to rebuild your confidence.

Passion and knowledge are powerful and drive you to success and confidence.  When did you have confidence?  What would you do if you had it now?  If confidence wasn’t an issue, what would you be doing right now?  What’s really holding you back?

Is it what you don’t know that’s holding you back and if that answer is yes are there others that might be able to help you identify some answers? Be curious, enthusiastic and inquire… do not pretend you already know the answers because we know that model doesn’t work. Reach out and talk to people.  Attend community events, business events, charity events. Build your network and begin establishing a meaningful dialog.

Here’s the twist – when people talk to individuals who are enthusiastic and curious, they assume that you’re naturally confident.  Nice benefit to changing your behavior.

Confidence is about being alert, proud, genuine and a place of belonging.  The more people you reach out to, the more you’ll get in return.  As you begin to build your network of friends and business associates they’ll begin to rely on you.  Sometimes confidence is just about knowing that others believe in you and you believe in yourself.
