Focus Groups
It’s a competitive business environment and the business that’s closest to their customer will win. Using a Focus Group is an effective tool when it comes to finding out more about your customer, how your customer perceives you and what you can do to attract more customers. Focus Groups are centrally concerned with understanding attitudes rather than measuring them.
Results are dependent upon the interaction between the respondents and the moderator. Unprofessional moderating can lead to inaccurate conclusions. A functioning group is a lab for social interaction. Our goals in putting together a successful group are to:
- Have the proper composition of attendees
- Have an open environment; one that encourages participation
- Be a probing facilitator
- Provide actionable follow up steps
As the facilitator I’ll be creative in stimulating the discussion, analytical in directing the group, listen carefully and maintain both focus and direction from the attendees.
